Futures wheel

The futures wheel is a method that fans out the consequences of a development in rings. The development sits in the middle, its direct consequences in the first ring, the consequences of those consequences in the second. This shows how far a trend reaches.

Jerome C. Glenn developed the method in 1971. At youngk it is part of the collective’s knowledge base.

For the Runder Tisch Berlin, a concept focused on the futures wheel emerged, including a playbook. It was presented at the Berlin Symposium on Cultural Education in 2025.

Guiding questions
